Refusing to Take the Field Sobriety Test

Under Minnesota law, one can refuse to take the field sobriety test. There should be extenuating circumstances, to be sure, but in Minnesota law, the consent to take the test is only implied, not required. This is a good tip to know, especially if you have taken the chance and just know that you are going to fail the field sobriety test one way or the other. Maybe it is a disability or a medical condition, and under those circumstances, you can afford to just call your Minneapolis DWI Lawyer and have him deal with the incident instead of you taking the test alone.
